How it works

1

Create an account

Register with your name, address and ID document. The document is stored encrypted and deleted after verification.

2

Verification by the association

The association verifies your identity. Only approved accounts can start a campaign.

3

Design your campaign

The wizard records the legally required details. Use the editor to add your text, images and language versions.

4

Approval

The association approves the submitted version. That exact, immutable version is published.

5

Collect signatures or run a poll

Petitions collect signatures online, initiatives and referendums use paper signature sheets, and political campaigns use a poll.

Why do initiatives and referendums use paper?

The Federal Act on Political Rights requires handwritten signatures on sheets certified by each municipality. INITIQ generates sheets in the required form; they must be signed and returned on paper. Petitions are not subject to this requirement and therefore collect signatures online.
